Manila is known as ‘Gintu’ means the Island of God:

Manila is the capital city of Philippines. The city is boasting of its beautiful Rizal Park, Fort Santiago and Manila city Hall. In the legend it is known as ‘Gintu’ means the Island of God.

Tourism is Malina’s one of thriving industry:

Manila is the nation’s chief Sea port. One million visitors from all over the world come to Manila every year making the place, a place of attraction for tourists. The shopping Malls in the place of Malate and Ermita also attracted the foreign visitors apart from its comfortable climate and harbor beauty. It is located on the eastern shores of Manila Bay. Its land area is about 38.55 Sq Km, which is inhabited by 1.6 millions making it a densely populated city.

The historical facts of Manila:

From strategic importance in the region of South-East Asia, Manila was a city of importance the place of which had been attracted by foreign Rulers more than one country since the sixteenth century. Of course the City was ruled by Spanish only for a longer period of time about three hundred years. The historical fact reveal that the city was conquered by Spain in 1581and ruled up to 1898 except two years in between 1762-1764, when British Force captured the city. During this period the most powerful nation was British and French and there was regular fighting between them to acquire power and interest. In a particular matter Spain favored French that had tempted the British to attack Manila. In 1762, the British occupied Manila by defeating Spain and established British administration in Manila. It seems that in 1763 England came to an understanding with French in an agreement under ‘Peace of Paris’ and the fighting between the two countries come to standstill thereby enmity reduced to a great extend between the two powerful nations. In 1764 British returned Manila to Spanish as a gesture of goodwill. Thus Manila came under the administration of Spanish Rule again.

America wanted Manila for controlling over the Region:

The South-East region was not only a place of attraction of British, French and Spain but to America. To establish American command over the region in 1898 American Force captured Manila by defeating Spain and established its rule through out Philippine. Japan was the most powerful nation in this region even though Japan is a territory of small region with less population compared to other big neighbor nations. With the out break of 2nd World War the situation of South East Asia began to change quickly. January2, 1942 Japan captured Manila by force causing devastation everywhere defeating American Force. America, however powerful found it difficult to control the expansion of Japan in the region. Finally ‘Atom Bomb’ was dropped by America and had brought a massacre in Japan which had compelled the Japanese Force to withdraw from Manila. July 4, 1946 Philippine’s Flag again flown over Capital Manila. Since then the City began to rebuild and today it is a city to be counted.

Manila is connected with other cities with well designed Road Ways:

Beautiful Roads were constructed and Manila was connected with all the other major cities. In Manila there exists Manila Metro Rail Transit System, and also Manila Light Rail Transit System. The international air port is only about 8 Km South of the City and the Air Port is named as Ninoy Aquino International Air Port (NAIA).

There is cosmopolitan atmosphere in Manila:

The language of the city is Filipino although there is existing cultural diversity but however, English turns to be a common link language of the community. As the City is governed under Spanish for more than three centuries the local culture had been mixed with Spanish culture in disguise in many ways in the past. Even today there exists a rare family in Manila where their house language is Spanish.
